No 401 K and no other investments or savings.! Help?

I have a friend that I am very concerned about! She has been married and was supported financially by her husband. She has however no savings and she is 38 years old. What can she do TODAY to secure some kind of retirement?

First, you shouldn’t be involved in your friends finances.
She can start putting money away into a ROTH or other retirement account.
I am assuming she is divorced? She should have received money out of the settlement. If he had a 401K or other retirement, she is entitled to part of it.

She can get a job and start saving. There is no free instant retirement plan, even social security requires you to pay into the system.

There is no way to secure a retirement “TODAY”. It takes years of working and saving.
