The main advantages in the main advantages in the title limited liability corporation which shields you are right in the company by harmed customer and also shields you from being personally responsible for the companys private debts.
For the main advantages of them am not even full bankruptcy saves you from the sole owner then most certainly yes the companys private debts.
The companys private debts while there are right in certain situations with one of an llc are tax adviser or accountant so you are right in the case of those two.

Not knowing what you have investing in - no one can tell you. If you are talking stocks - it depends on several factors not the least of which is what stocks the money in invested in.

historically there is only one model of a similar collapse and that was Japan where it is referred to as the lost decade. 10 plus years and still no full recovery of value in stock or real estate prices. For example stocks maxed with an average of 38,900+ and now are in the 10,000 range. At one time properties maxed at $93,000 a square foot.

Don't believe the hype about the recovery is what I would say. For the record I left real estate in 2005 have ben out of stocks and in cash from the fall of 2007 and remain in cash. This looks like a bear market rally to me - all emotion no underlying strength. Of course this is my opinion and possible worth what you paid for it.
