Can the IRS seize an LLC for personal taxes?

Savings and Investments
CHRISTIAN B asked:

Can the Irs Seize a business which is an LLC for non payment of personal property taxes? We do not own a home and have no bank accounts. No retirement, savings, investments. All we have is a small business in a rented building.
Sorry, I meant personal income tax, not property tax. My mistake.

Savings and Investments
dance4860 asked:

I have earned money as a consultant (self-employed) as well as an employee (8 month) this year. If I buy a new car tomorrow - can I claim the car as a business investment and thus reduce my income for this year?

When will my investments be worth what they were in October 2008?

Savings and Investments
J. asked:

In mid-2008, I was so proud of the money I had been working hard for and saving for retirement. I also had some money in a taxable investment account. Then at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009, I was very disappointed as I saw the value of my hard-earned savings/investments plummet to a sad number indeed.

To put it simply, when will things be better again?

So how much money do you think you are going to have left next year out of your life savings and investments?

Savings and Investments
Open your eyes asked:

thanks to your government?
Bekindtoanimals22 that is the whole point. They did know better. Don’t you understand? The idea the government is incompetent is something only a fool believes. They know exactly what they are doing and are working to a plan. The plan is to bankrupt the world and buy up everything at a cheap price and centralise power in a one world government structure. They did it in the 30’s depression in America and now it will be worldwide. A lot of the governments of the world are welcoming it behind close doors and pretending to the public that it is all a mess that they can’t control.

recommend a savings/investment bank account?

Savings and Investments
bbarr12 asked:

Me and a few family memebers have come to an informal agreement to save approx. £500 per weak (combined) for a 1yr period. The money saved will then be used to put a deposit on a property.
Is there any type of bank account which will consider us as a genuine group of investors all be it on a small scale.

Loans, Savings and Investments! HELP PLEASE?

Savings and Investments
The Show Stopper asked:

Hi!

I’m fresh out of college and recently started my career. I make about 40G/year or about 550 per week. I have 106G in student loans which I have to start paying in November. I owe 13,000 for my new car, or 230/month. I would like to save some money, or invest, which ever allows me to get out of debt faster. What is the best way to go about repaying my debts and building my net worth? Please help!

What are good categories for tracking your expenses?

Savings and Investments
John K asked:

I’ve noticed a check that had these categories of expenses:
mortage/rent, gas/electric, telephone, food, clothing, transportation, credit card, taxes, insurance, home improvement, entertainment and travel, medical/dental, dependent care, savings & investment

I use setbills (rent, utility, gym payment, pulled from my account automatically), misc (online fees), miscfun-adventure, dining, grocery, nightlife, supplies, and computer.

because those are unique to me and my spending habits.

what are some other person’s categories? And what are some ramifications of changing around your how you classify what you spend?
